This beautiful orange wine comes in a pale orange-yellow dress. On the nose you get gentle notes of petrol and citrus. Air it out a little and its sweet aroma will capture your senses. On the palate, it's lean and creamy at the same time, with a slight resistance from the tannins. The flavor heightens midway with citrus and tropical notes and a flush of minerality. Then you're in for the most pleasant, lengthy finish of savory, toasty, and pithy notes. It's a complex yet balanced wine, which makes it very easy to drink on its own.
This bottle is a clear representation of Bianka and Daniel Schmitt's winemaking practice and philosophy which can be described as mother Gaia's freedom, and the pair's soul and creativity. Müller-Thurgau is a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royal, and although it's the 2nd most planted variety in Germany, D.B. Schmitt made a more refined version for the Natúr series, so you can appreciate the more nuanced aspects of the grape.
