2021 Müller-Thurgau Pur
Another bottle in the Pur repertoire, the Brand Brothers have bottled up the richer brother of their resplendent Riesling, the Müller-Thurgau! This wine will leave you honey-eyed for more. Notes of caramel popcorn, unripe pineapples as well as green apple skin shine through sips and sighs like a delicate sea breeze. On the nose, a hint of that petrol presence, something buttery and something herbaceous all falling perfectly balanced on the palate. A darling light white to have for the perfect accompaniment to easy moments and wine-soaked weekends.
Fun fact! The Brand Bros. very own grandmother, Oma Helga made these illustration on the bottle label!

Viticulture: Trellis-system, organic viticulture, 40-year-old vines. Manual harvested.
Winemaking: 5 Days whole bunch maceration. Wild yeasts, started partly on the mash, fermented in 500l old wooden barrels. No added sulfites. Unfiltered.
Jonas Brand and Daniel Brand are the Brand Brothers, 5th generation winemakers making natural wine in Bockenheim, the cool northernmost area of Pfalz, Germany. Having been in the Brand family since 1891, the family vineyard was taken over by the Brand Bros in 2012 and converted with full organic certification in 2018. They focus on regenerative, nature-healing practices in the vineyard. Each wine is naturally fermented with wild yeasts for a long time, and bottled without any filtration or additives including any added sulfites. The illustrations on the labels are all made by their grandmother, Oma Helga, an ode to life in their village. And the wines inside are fresh and full of life.
