Unico Zelo's Esoterico is really here to show itself off. This expressive, bohemian Orange Wine is a wonderful blend of aromatic and ancient white varietals. Its bold, complex flavors, and medium body makes it stand out on its own and excellent to pair with food. It's dry on the palate yet sweet on the nose with notes of honey and elderflower from the Gewurtz, bergamot and white peach from the Zibibbo. It's incredibly drinkable with its grippy tannins, oily mouthfeel, and clean finish. Esoterico is flowing with vibrance from its golden yellow hue to its fruit-forward, spritely acidity. It has a hazy look about it from the absence of filtration, like a mirage on a hot day.

Viticulture: Sustainably farmed
Winemaking: Co-fermented Zibbibo blend on skins for 14 days. Half is left to mature in stainless steel and the other half in old oak for 10 months. Clarification through gravity. Unfined and unfiltered with the slightest dusting of sulfur to safely see it into bottle.
Brendan and Laura Carter are the husband and wife team behind Unico Zelo in Gumeracha, Adelaide Hills in South Australia.
Working with their own vineyard and with growers from nearby vineyards, Unico Zelo champions lesser known varietals grown in traditionally ‘unglamorous’ sites.
Varietals like Nero d’Avola, Fiano, Nebbiolo, Zibibo, and more thrive in Australian soil, and are naturally made into wonderfully structured wines with quirky flavors that make for approachable drinking. Truly natural wines for the people.
